The Lookal Restaurant in the Luanda Island is all about the seafood. It is, without a shadow of doubt, the best restaurant I've been in Luanda. As soon as you enter, simply the seafood scent it's addictive. Do you see that Octopus Salad? That was my appetizer. Do you want to know what else I had? I grew up hearing a lot of stories about the abundance of food, particularly of fruits in Angola. Some of my Angolan friends, especially a long time family friend called Matilde always dazzled me with stories of going out for a walk, or doing a picnic on the wild and not needing to take any food at all... She used to say: "wherever you go, there was always a tree, or some other kind of plant you can eat, or collect fruits from... Mangoes, pineapples, papayas, Avocados... everything was right there, provided by nature, for free..." I know you've been waiting for a while, so here it is: the promised post about the food in Sangano. In the Sangano Part I you all saw the beautiful beach and its surroundings. In today's post you'll see how well we ate there. Follow me while I share this new experience... Yesterday I went to a restaurant I already had been before, and that wasn't a big fan of. The Esplanada Grill in the island of Luanda. Yesterday's Experience though, changed my mind... Want to know why? Read my latest post below and I'll tell you all about it. [...] |
