First of all, I'm really sorry if I didn't do any posting for some time now. I know it's not a valid excuse, but I'm really busy preparing our trip to Thailand (That I promise I will share with you extensively). But anyway, I could not leave without sharing something with you all... Get ready, this was one of my favourite Travel Experiences in Angola so far... |
Me afraid of traveling on the Angolan countryside? Why should I?
Well, the short answer is NO!
Do we need to be twice as prepared than if it was a trip in Europe? Certainly. You may drive for hundreds of kilometres without finding a Restaurant, Water, or even a Gas Station, so yes, you need to be prepared. We had two 25 Litre containers with gasoline and food that was enough for a small army, but the only thing that was not enough was the baby dippers... lol... fortunately we managed to buy them in one of the small towns we droved by.
Our route on the first day. Luanda - N'dalatando - Kalandula
The breathtaking Kalandula Falls
Small but priceless Musselenge Falls...
That was an adventure on itself. We wondered on dirty bumpy roads for what seemed to be hours but, when we where about to give up... there they were: the Musselenge Falls. Small but provided of such an unique beauty that made it all worth.

Also as a personal tip, don't stay at the Yolaka Hotel... It was simple the worst Hotel I've been ever...
